Susan York

While living on a floating home in Northern California, Susan became so inspired by a dog’s joyful loving spirit, the magical qualities of Sausalito’s houseboat docks and their beautiful setting that she completed two children’s picture books perfect for ages 4-7. Her first book, A Big Day for a Little Dog, received the Beverly Hills Book Finalist Award in both picture book and pets/animals categories. Susan’s second book entitled, Meggie and the Mermaid, was published in November 2020 with the dog’s continuing fun-filled encounters with nature, animals and the beauty of the sea. Susan is a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators. She is currently working on her third story of this seasonal based series.
