Terry Faubert

Terry Faubert was born in the early 1950s in Toronto, Ontario. She moved to Canada’s west coast in 1978. All of her working life was spent in the field of early childhood education: in day care, preschool, and supported child development.

An avid hiker, she has walked hundreds of kilometres on the Trans Canada Trail in British Columbia, the Camino de Santiago in northern Spain, the Sunshine Coast Trail near Powell River, and numerous others. She is currently cycling across Canada, a province or two at a time: spring 2021, she cycled from Vancouver to Fernie BC; fall 2021, from Fernie to Edmonton; spring 2022, from Edmonton to Winnipeg. Stay tuned for further cycling adventures!

Terry has had short stories published in four memoir anthologies: Slices (2013), Taboo (2016), Turning Points (2018), Tricky (2018) and in three issues of the Lund Barnacle (Fall 2017, Winter 2018, Spring 2018).

She has four grown children and two grandchildren. She currently resides in Powell River B.C. with her partner, Draigh, and her tortoiseshell cat, Briar. The Way Home is her first book-length memoir.
