Rachel San

Rachel San is a successful careerwoman. ‘Living a Lie’, her debut novel, was born out of her exposure to the story of a family who lived a supposedly exemplary life. The family resided in an affluent neighborhood in north Tel Aviv; the parents were successful businesspeople leading what, on the surface, appeared to be an ideal life. But in the age of ‘fake news’ – a term coined by President Trump – the lie is inherent, and not only in the creation of news. ‘Fake’ has infiltrated our most intimate places, the places where we thought we were safe and protected.

‘Beating the Lie’, Rachel San’s second novel, was born out of the readers’ demands to be updated on the developments in the lives of the protagonists.

This novel is packed with suspense and endless twists and turns. Both novels are based on true events. It is a sequel to the novel ‘Living a Lie’, but also stands on its own as an independent novel.

The two novels present poignant, eye-opening experiences, and a fresh look at the places we consider to be safest. Apparently, it is all too true that, ‘… all that glitters is not gold’.
