Have you ever looked at the gnarled bark of an ancient tree and wondered what stories it could tell? Well, look no further. Welcome to Parable Trees Publishing, and Peter’s happy new place for all his books and illustrations.
The Dragon Tree Trilogy, Peter’s first steps into combining his art with his storytelling, is a trilogy he still finds hard to believe ever happened. Born out of one of his earliest paintings, a dragon wrapped around a tree hanging for years on his living room wall, it finally convinced him to tell its story.
Now, it is art that has taken the front seat in Peter’s latest Parable Trees venture. So, if you happen to be a fantasy art fan as well as a reader of fantasy, then look no further than his first fully illustrated 84-page hardback picture book. With every page beautifully illustrated and Queen Silvia of White Nettle Wood ready to lead you through each colourful page, The Best School for Tree Dragons is a book any fantasy fan, child or adult would be happy to own.
Parable Trees Publishing.
Peter’s earliest reading arrived in the days of torches and library books, when Peter Pan and a certain crocodile ticked its way under the bed, never to leave his imagination. Later reading influences came from the book shelves of science fiction and fantasy. Particular favourites back then were Michael Moorcock’s Champion Eternal series, as well as the Dragon books of Anne McCaffrey, not forgetting the keen arrival of his next Rodney Mathews calendar.
