Ella Johnson

Ella Johnson was born in 1970 in Alabama to parents, Cora Johnson and Ellis White. After college, she left Alabama and moved to Florida, where she auditioned and graduated from the Connecticut School of Broadcasting. With this degree in hand, Ella was afforded an opportunity to work as an intern at the local NBC News Affiliate. Inspired by what she learned through this experience, she boldly launched her podcast, The Mahogany Bronze Hour, which focuses on motivational messages and newsworthy events.

Years later, Ella's faith was put to the test when she suffered a devastating blow from Florida's Children and Family Services system. It was this defining moment in time that gave Ella the motivation to discover the purpose that would be served best through her pain. She wrote her first book in 2010 to share her experiences with others who may be fighting their own battles. Because of her tenacity, Ella was unable to stop with just one book. These experiences led her to write three more books that gave life to The Torn Series. These books are based on true events in the life of the author, Ella Johnson.

Ella is a mother of 6 and a grandmother of 6. She currently lives in Orlando, Florida.
