Eugene Tee

Eugene Tee is a Professor of Psychology dedicated to helping people understand the complex world of human emotions and the beauty of a flourishing life. Holding a PhD in Management from the University of Queensland and a Master of Applied Positive Psychology (MAPP) from the University of Pennsylvania, he has published in top-tier academic journals on emotion science and positive psychology. A TEDx speaker and mindfulness practitioner, he translates psychological insights into practical wisdom.

He is the author of the award-winning The Science of Feelings (Winner of the 2025 Reader’s Popular Choice at the National Book Awards) and The Tyranny of Speed (Winner of the 2025 Best Social Sciences Book). He enjoys travelling and learning ways to preserve what is most human in an increasingly artificial world. Eugene lives in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and shares his writing through Emotivity.
