Luke Butler

Luke Butler (1987-) was born in Leigh-on-sea, Essex, where he now resides with his wife and daughter. After graduating with a degree in Film Studies & Animation from Roehampton University, Luke moved to Brentwood, Essex and lived in a converted chapel on the grounds of an old asylum. This is where he found inspiration to write his debut novel: Living Inside Raindrops.

Luke had always been fascinated and somewhat romanticised by war and by mental health. The grave of a shell-shocked soldier outside his front door, got him thinking about the futility of both.

Luke runs Nirvana Studios, his own video production company.
