Larry E. O'Neal

Hi, I'm Larry E. O'Neal,

I write in a story format of true events in my life, that God has helped me with or has shown me. If I have given my readers food for thought, life lessons, encouraged them, helped them to feel better, and given God the praise, then I have achieved my goal. Somewhere along the way, I hope to share a little adventure with them as well.

I was born and raised in central Florida. I attended a Apostolic Bible School in Lakeland, Florida while in high school. I enlisted in the US Navy in 1967 and served on the flight decks of the USS Essex and the USS Wasp. In 1968 we had the honor of recovering the Apollo 7 capsule and astronauts.

In 1973, I began working for a major electrical utility company in the Tampa Bay area. Due to my desire to help others, I also taught part-time for ten years at a local college. After forty-three years with the electrical utility company, I retired.

My Christian upbringing has its roots in the Ruskin Tabernacle. Rev. Rosa Sikes was the pastor and when she prayed, heaven listened. There were many eyewitnessed miracles in this church, under her ministry. Oh, if we all would live that close to the Lord, what a wonderful world this would be.

While thinking of my grandchildren and their beliefs, I wrote the first book at age 70. It was received so well by my family, that I wish to share it with others. My sincere prayer is that I can help others by sharing what I have seen within my own life and family.

Each time that I sat down to write, I always said a simple prayer that went something like this: Heavenly Father, thank you for choosing me to share what you have given me. Please tell me what you want in this book and how you want me to place it in, for your glory. All of you and none of me is my prayer. Amen!

May your walk with God be as sweet as honey and your distresses be few.
