SARAH MYLES is a writer of creative non-fiction from Wellington, New Zealand. Her debut work, received to critical acclaim, explores her grandfather's untimely death in what was to become New Zealand's greatest peacetime tragedy, the Erebus Disaster.

Sarah's extensive research follows her grandfather's journey home from Antarctica to New Zealand, and uncovers the truth about what happened to him, to his fellow passengers and the harrowing experiences of the first responders. In the process, she also discovers her experience of Erebus was shared by hundreds of other families up and down the country. What emerges is a reflection on the legacy of grief, and the possibility of forgiveness and hope, forty years on.
