Sean Thompson

Sean Thompson is a Canadian Métis educator, independent publisher, and the creator of The Cultural Diplomacy Initiative. Currently based in Tokyo, Japan, his work focuses on translating complex social, philosophical, and geopolitical concepts into highly accessible narratives.

His diverse publishing catalog reflects a core commitment to civic education and the philosophy of leading a good life. From the foundational lessons of community in his children's book The Sharing Tree, to the curation of global wisdom in Simply Karma and Pocketbook of Quotes: Socrates to Lebowski, Thompson’s work champions empathy and collective resilience.

His latest allegorical project, Carney the Beaver and the Power of the Small, operates as an active cultural diplomacy asset, utilizing storytelling as a "Trojan Horse" to foster public understanding of global governance and the defense of the rules-based international order.
