Matthew Emmorey

Matthew is a lover of Christ, an author, a speaker, a builder, an explorer, and a perpetual student. He writes to share his joy and his hard lessons so that we all may live more happily and purposefully in the direction of our dreams. He is inspired by authors such as Roald Dahl, Brandon Sanderson, Ian Fleming, and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.

When surrounded by nature, Matthew is vigorous and creative. He loves to explore—to climb, swim, and jump between boulders, to share with his people the search for the highest place and the longest view (and, at the top, a victorious snack). He can often be found working on a project while thinking about his next meal or eating while thinking about his next project. Matt lives in Austin, Texas, with his husky, Ky.

In recent months, Matthew has expanded his family to include a bolt of female lightning, a dirty mud monkey, a pit bull, a hoard of cats, and two feral ducks.
