I always liked exploring. I grew up in a rural area as my parents were doctors posted in a remote villages. Since childhood I remember climbing trees, swimming in canals and curiously exploring nature. Went so far as searching for snakes in holes in ground. Bad idea but it ended well. Anyway, I started reading precociously and felt the need to explore every place I read about.
Decades later, married and working 9-5 in an MNC. I missed that life, the smell of adventure.
My husband is a motorcycle buff. He too travels extensively. I do enjoy motorbiking with him, but I am more of an explorer. I get intrigued by the history of the place, what the land I am standing on has seen. I love noticing the small details. I started missing that.
Thus one day I decided to go for backpacking expeditions alone.
This has culminated with me having backpacked extensively in India and Europe.
This book is based on the experiences in Europe.
