Sylvia van der Meer

I'm a geography teacher in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. During the past ten+ years of teaching I have seen the destructive power a divorce has on a family. This inspired me to write my first book. A young adult, contemporary novel about a family who's love for each other is put to the test during a divorce.

I read and write so I can relax from a busy day at work. The place I love to write the most is at my vacation home in Portugal. I hope that I will be able to move there permanently one day.

My bookcase is filled with young adult, thriller, fantasy and romance novels.

Fun fact:

- As a young kid I already loved books. I would memorize the text en pretend to my friends that I've already mastered the art of reading.
