Noel Holston

Noel Holston is a three-time Pulitzer Prize nominee who writes about media and popular culture. His latest book, "POP STAND," is a lively anthology of his reviews, personality profiles (Oprah! Arnold! Gilda!) and commentary. His previous books include the acclaimed 2019 memoir "Life After Deaf" (Skyhorse Books), a frank and funny chronicle of his recovery from a catastrophic overnight hearing loss; "As I Die Laughing," a collection of stories about his "free range" Mississippi childhood; and "OZmosis," a catalog of artists inspired by "The Wizard of Oz." A songwriter as well, Noel released his first CD, "Better Late," in 2021, with help from his wife, singer Marty Winkler, and friends from their adopted hometown, music-rich Athens, GA..
