Kya J Johnson

Kya Johnson is the founder and CEO of RainbowMe Incorporated, an entertainment company for kids changing the face of children’s entertainment. She has created RainbowMe Kids, which is a streaming video platform for kids ages 2-12 that features culturally diverse main characters. Kya knows that the images children see in their everyday lives, especially in their entertainment, can shape their imaginations. She enjoys creating entertaining environments that make sure those imaginations are influenced positively. When children see images that reflect who they are, they believe they can be whoever they set their minds to.

RainbowMe Kids has landed media coverage in print and broadcast outlets from around the world including USA Today, Tech Crunch, Business Insider and many more. Through RainbowMe Kids, she has worked with major brands like Nascar, Ford and Essence Magazine. Kya has founded other businesses in the past, including a company that was featured in the MTV Movie Awards gifting suite, as well as the Daytime Emmy’s. In addition to being a serial entrepreneur, she is also licensed attorney in the state of North Carolina.

Kya holds a BA in Economics from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She also holds a JD from the North Carolina Central University-School of Law.
