Marilyn Robitaille

MARILYN ROBITAILLE holds a PhD in English from Texas Woman's University and is a writer, editor, and publisher. She co-founded the Langdon Review of the Arts in Texas and co-hosts the Langdon Review Weekend festival, which is has been held annually in Granbury, Texas, for the last nineteen years. Her work has appeared in a variety of anthologies including Her Texas: Story, Image, Poem, and Song; Texas Weather; and Writing Texas. Fifty Poems and Images (2019), her book of illustrated poetry, has been featured in interactive poetry readings and gallery exhibits. She is a regular contributor to the online journal Texas Poetry Assignment (texaspoetryassignment.org) and served as a contributing editor of Lone Start Poetry: Championing Texas Verse, Community, and Hunger Relief. She edited Wine Poems (2022), a collection of poems about wine from far-flung poets, all of whom share an appreciation of the grape. In 2019, she founded ROMAR Press to provide a venue for talented writers whose voices offer works that touch the heart and tell good stories. In 2023, ROMAR Press will begin hosting a series writing workshops focused on the art of the memoir. Robitaille was recently named managing director of the Frazier Conservatory, a retreat center in Erath County, Texas, that will promote arts and culture; land conservation; culinary and viticulture appreciation; and regional cultural, educational and historical preservation and revitalization efforts.
