Alex Ryce is an American author and bartender who has turned a career, and his fascination with the absurdities of human behavior, into a source of inspiration for his writing. He has worked behind the bar everywhere from some of the world's fanciest establishments to the diveiest of dive bars.

Alex is the author of several books on cocktail making, including Classic Cocktails for the Cocktail Lovers. Away from the bar, he writes short stories that blend social commentary with dark satire. His latest release, A Grand Old Carol: Dickens for the Modern Era, reimagines Charles Dickens's classic A Christmas Carol for the modern age, offering a contemporary take on a timeless story.
