Dan Aldred is a computer scientist, educator and technology enthusiast with more than 20 years’ experience in education. He currently works for Cambridge International Assessment and is also a freelance resource writer and hacker.

A passionate advocate for using computers and technology as tools for learning, creativity and exploration, Dan is a Raspberry Pi Certified Educator. He also led the winning student team in the first Astro Pi competition, with their code ultimately travelling into orbit aboard the International Space Station.

Dan is the author of Fun Python GUI Projects in Easy Steps, a practical guide to creating engaging graphical user interface projects with Python.

Based in the UK, Dan runs TeCoEd, a website packed with Raspberry Pi hacks, projects and educational resources, as well as a YouTube channel dedicated to technology, coding and creative computing.
