Bruce Stopher

While I was born in Chicago, Illinois, my family moved from place to place until I finished high school in Minnesota. I joined the U.S. Army and arrived at my first duty station: Fort Knox, Kentucky. It was there that I came to fully understand the gospel, which I had heard from early childhood. I was then discipled by a bank teller from the Fort Knox National Bank. Countless others would invest in me over the next 45 years. I also began to learn how to disciple others.

After eight years of active duty, I moved to San Antonio, Texas. I put my G.I. Bill to work and earned a nursing degree (BSN) from UT Health. I continued to grow in my discipling skills since then. In 1988, I joined the staff of a disciple-making ministry.

I earned a Master of Arts in Religion in Pastoral Studies from Liberty University (2014), followed by a Master of Divin-ity focusing on Discipleship and Church Ministry (2017). I have an addiction to books with five large bookcases filled to overflowing, along with a Kindle that required a larger memory card! I am a widower, due to breast cancer, with three adult children in three different states.
