Robert Gauvreau

Robert Gauvreau is a FCPA who works exclusively with entrepreneurs and professionals to help them make more money and gain financial clarity in their businesses. As a financial expert and bestselling author, Robert shares his insight and wisdom as a public speaker, is often cited in major business journals related to money, finances, and entrepreneurship, and works directly with more than 500 business across North America, helping them build better businesses and generate greater financial performance.

As an undergraduate student, Robert studied business with a focus on human resources at Trent University, and graduated in 2005 with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree (BBA). From there, Robert continued his studies at the University of Toronto, Rotman School of Business, where Robert completed a master’s degree in management and professional accounting (MMPA). Upon completing his graduate degree in 2006, Robert began working with a leading global accounting firm that focused on providing assurance services to large non-profit organizations and government agencies. It was through this experience that Robert qualified as a CPA in Ontario, Canada and received his professional designation in 2008.

While working at the global accounting firm, Robert realized his passion was working with entrepreneurs and professionals. In 2008, Robert founded a new CPA firm to focus on helping entrepreneurs and professionals make more money and gain financial clarity in their businesses. Robert founded Gauvreau CPA on three core values: people, passion, and integrity. Robert has grown this business from a startup to a multimillion dollar tax and advisory firm that is committed to delivering a proactive approach to accounting and tax services while delivering exceptional client service. Robert and his team have quickly become one of North America’s leading tax and advisory firms focused on entrepreneurs and have been recognized as one of Canada’s fastest-growing professional services firms.

Since 2008, Robert has been recognized with numerous awards and achievements, including being admitted into fellowship with CPA Canada in 2018, being admitted into the Greater Peterborough Business Hall of Fame in 2018, being recognized with an alumni leadership award from Trent University in 2018, and many other business excellence and professional services awards.

In 2016, Robert and three partners founded a 38,000 square foot business hub in Peterborough Ontario called Venture North, devoted to helping entrepreneurs and small businesses find the resources, support, and guidance they need to thrive and succeed in the business world. Since its inception, Venture North has been home to thousands of startup businesses, and continues to introduce new initiatives to support the success of these local and global entrepreneurial initiatives.

Robert lives in Peterborough, Ontario Canada with his wife Jenny and their two children Jack and Sophia, and continues to devote significant time toward working with charities and non-profit organizations, and giving back to the community that has provided him with such great opportunity.
