I'm an actor/singer who fell in love with acting when I was five, and with singing when I first heard Elvis Presley. I sang at Oxford University with a dance band, The Four Beats, while doing Shakespeare and revue. My first West End show, Hair! in 1968, combined both passions and I was nominated Actress of the Year. I started songwriting when I formed a three-woman rock group in the Seventies, Rock Bottom. And we nearly made it. My book The Real Rock Follies is a memoir of that incredibly creative time, our growing success, then how our whole concept was snatched from us and made into a cult TV series, Rock Follies, and how we fought back. I'm busy writing the sequel now, with two novels in the pipeline. Watch this space!
