Carroll Walker

Hello, my name is Carroll Walker and I have lived in Hazlehurst Ga. most of my life. The times away from Hazlehurst, Ga. was always with plans of returning. On of those times was when I was in the U. S. Army. I really wanted to return home especially after a year in Vietnam. I am retired from the U.S Postal Service as a Rural Letter Carrier. I did a lot of traveling going to conventions and meetings and have seen a lot of our Country. This helped my become a History student.

I have always been interested in Church and was raised in church. I am a Christian and enjoy reading the Bible. I became the Chaplin of the Jeff Davis County Veterans Association and give devotions at our regular meetings. A friend ask me to write a book about my devotions. I now give you "A Patriot's Devotion" . This book is not only about history but includes culture, current events, music and also other topics. I hope that you will enjoy this book.
