Leigh Overton Boyd

Leigh Overton Boyd is one of four daughters born to Frank and Nancy Overton in Middlesex County, New Jersey. At the age of 8, Leigh moved with her family to Brigantine, a small island next to Atlantic City, 100 miles south on the Garden State Parkway. In 1972 the family moved to Ventnor, where two years later the sisters lost their parents in a mysterious house fire. Leigh graduated from Stockton University with a degree in Criminal Justice then won the Miss Atlantic City contest. after which she married and moved to California. She raised her family in the San Francisco Bay Area and launched a real estate consulting career. When her youngest went off to college, Leigh began to write the story of that tragic family fire. Years of investigation and research led to the publication of The Fire She Set, her memoir and first book. Today, Leigh enjoys life in the beautiful Swan Valley community and is actively promoting her book.
