Patrick Sweeney

Patrick Sweeney writes novels and teaches English as a foreign language. Drawing on his life experiences growing up in the turbulent times of 20th Century America, Patrick's fiction has focused so far on coming of age stories set against the cultural backdrop of New York City. His experiences as a student, an educator and a business lawyer in that milieu inform his narratives. Since retiring from the law in 2016, Patrick has lived in South East Asia and in southern Europe. He currently resides on the island of Tenerife in the Spanish Canary Islands with his husband, Huy Dara Sun. Patrick's first novel, "Small Steps," was published in January 2020. "Stepping Widely," the sequel to "Small Steps," was published in June 2020.
