Solonge L. Robinson was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY and is a wife, mother and creative soul.
Solonge spent years in her youth journaling about her world travels, but always had a vision for something bigger. Her love of writing evolved after the birth of her children where she quickly discovered reading bedtime stories each night was a magical adventure, one that would inspire the desire to author children’s books.
In 2018, after a tragic fire that destroyed all of her family's possessions, including their books, Solonge committed to restoring her children's collection starting with her debut book, When the Sun Comes Up and the Moon Goes Down. What a magical adventure this was!
In addition to writing, Solonge loves working side-by-side with her husband growing their Chicago based real-estate business, gardening with her children, training for and competing in triathlons, and being a Senior Portfolio Manager, all of which lends loads of inspiration to her writing.
Solonge is thankful for the people, places and things that continue to inspire her, but is most grateful for her two rays of sunshine, Elijah and Nylah, and the biggest source of light and love, her husband, Don. Oh, and of course their family dog, Buddy.
