Gianluca Sposito

Gianluca Spósito Genovese (Naples, 1973) is a lawyer, historian, and nonfiction writer. He has been teaching at the University of Urbino since 2004 and is the author of numerous publications in the fields of legal history, visual culture, and rhetorical studies, with editions also published in English and Spanish.

His research and writing focus strongly on visual storytelling, with particular attention to images and their narrative power. This approach is reflected in books such as "Overlook. Haunted Houses and Where to Find Them"—a literary and visual journey through 50 “haunted” houses from horror cinema, featuring more than 380 full-color images and multimedia content accessible via QR codes—and "King Kong. The Untold Story", devoted to reconstructing the true history behind the 1976 cinematic Kong.

Within the same perspective, he created and coordinates "Duets. Cars and Films That Made Cinema History", both a book and an ongoing project exploring the relationship between automobiles and cinema as a visual language. The series is accompanied by several monographic volumes dedicated to major automotive brands—including Alfa Romeo, Fiat, Lotus, Bentley, and others—characterized by an exceptionally rich visual and cross-media approach combining historical research, narrative, and imagery.
