Martin Simonson

Martin Simonson is a Swedish scholar, novelist, and translator, specialized in fantasy literature. He teaches English literature at the University of the Basque Country in Spain.

Simonson, who was born in Göteborg, Sweden, in 1973, holds a Ph.D. in English literature from University of the Basque Country (March 2006).

He is the author of various fantasy novels, among others The Wind of the Wild Lands, first part of the fantasy saga The Faceless Keeper, which takes place in several worlds and explores themes of identity, personal relationships, the power of nature and spirituality. He has written and edited a number of books on fantasy and science fiction, and he has translated many novels, plays, and graphic novels from English, Swedish and Norwegian into Spanish - as well as essays on American history.
