I was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, where I attended Benedictine High School and Wayne State University. After graduating college, I taught school for one year before taking a job at The Michigan Bell Telephone Company in the Information Technology Department. After a nearly thirty-year career, I retired and began pursuing a lifelong interest in writing. My first venture was a short story entitled "Three Sisters". That story won first place in both the Mount Dora Florida Arts Festival and the Naples Magazine short story contest. My first attempt at longer fiction was an e-book novella entitled "Some People Just Need Killing". It is a crime suspense story set in my hometown of Detroit. I followed that up with a collection of short stories entitled "Heroes and Villains", which includes the award-winning story mentioned above. I currently live in Rochester Hills, Michigan. Besides writing, my interests include golf and the guitar, both of which I have yet to master.
