Dara M. Wald is an assistant professor of environmental communication in the Greenlee School of Journalism and Communication at Iowa State University. She is the co-organizer of the Science Communication Project at ISU, a member of the Ecology of Bird Loss Project and the C-CHANGE Consortium at ISU. Wald received her bachelor’s at Brandeis University and her M.S. and Ph.D. in Wildlife Ecology and Conservation, with a focus on Environmental Education & Communication, from the University of Florida. Wald's research and teaching interests include environmental communication and risk communication, with a focus on the role of values in shaping public debate over the management of natural resources.
