I am a French engineer (nobody is perfect!), who joined the largest oilfield services company in the world, Schlumberger, in 1996. I started in Venezuela, working on land and offshore rigs. Throughout my 23 year-career with the company, I held various senior management positions including Personnel Manager, Vice President of North America, Senior Vice President of Russia and Central Asia, and President of Latin America. I have lived in Russia, Qatar, Vietnam, Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, United States, France, Venezuela and Curacao, worked in over 30 countries, and speak five languages. Now retired, I enjoy sharing my insider knowledge about the oil industry, as well as my two master’s degrees for scientific accuracy, to write books that are both educating and entertaining, trying to emulate what Jules Vernes did for me when I was a young reader. Besides writing, I loves sports and sports cars.
