My book: "Lifted From The Trash Heaps" IS my Biography. It is a fascinating story, it describes how I survived the War, which started for me on September 1, 1939,when I was a 6 year old little boy. On that date, Hitler invaded Poland and I, originally with my family, later alone , began a 15 year " wandering" around half the world. Harrowing but ...Interesting!

For 15 years, until 1954, the stormy waters of Life threw me around "from post to pillar". I "visited" many Camps and Gulags and many Countries.--almost always involuntarily. My travels included :Poland, West Ukraine, Siberia, Central Asia, Soviet Ukraine, Post War Poland, Czechoslovakia and France.

I landed in New York in 1954.at age 21. My " Lift" from the "Trash Heaps" of Europe and World War 2, is also unusual and fascinating. I came here penniless, found work, enrolled in night classes, obtained a college education, married a wonderful wife, established a great family and moved to the suburbs. There I began a new and, for a brand new American, a very unusual American Dream. . I entered "politics" before it became as it is today. I was elected ,first to Local County Government then to the New York State Legislature, where I reached a Leadership position. Later I was elected to be a Judge in my suburban town of Ramapo in the County of Rockland, NY. A very interesting ,and substantial portion of my book, is devoted to the Government and politics of NY State as well as to the judicial system in our Country and in NY State. I devoted much of my energy to legislate "Good Government" and to urge reforms, especially in the area of Justice and in the area of Judicial Conduct. I also describe how I survived successfully a battle with a corrupt District Attorney .My book covers some of my successes in Government and some of my "unfinished business".

Today my wife and I are happily retired in Florida, we have-thank God -three children and numerous Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.
