Scoti Domeij

Propelled into single-parenthood with three-year-old, Kristoffer and 9-month-old Kyle, Scoti Domeij employed her writing, editing, and research skills to work two-three jobs to keep her family afloat. Scoti’s greatest accomplishment and joy? Her two sons. Scoti Domeij writes for HavokJournal.com, an online military journal, and is a solo-parenting columnist for Colorado Springs Kids. Her articles, over 400, have appeared in such diverse publications as The New York Times, Contemporary Christian Music, Family Life Today, School Daze magazine, Southwest Art, Bookstore Journal, Single Adult Ministry Journal, The Orange County Real Estate Digest, Get Up and Go, Charlotte Parenting, and Focus on the Family magazine. She’s authored, co-authored, and contributed to 11 books, including "The Violence of Action: The Untold Stories of the 75th Ranger Regiment in the War on Terror." Scoti’s firstborn, Sgt. First Class Kristoffer Domeij, an Army Ranger, was the Army’s first qualified joint terminal attack controller (JTAC) Evaluator and is currently the most deployed solder in American history to be killed in action on his 14th deployment in Afghanistan on October 22, 2011. A Gold Star Mother, Scoti is also featured in the documentary, filmed by YouTuber devinsupertramp, entitled "Here Am I, Send Me" that premiered at the 2020 BrandStoryTelling event at the Sundance Film Festival.

A researchaholic, Scoti was Senior Research Assistant/Art Production Coordinator for the 27-part film series shot on location in Israel entitled "That the World May Know." She interacted with top scholars, archeologists and museums while researching geography, seasons, feasts, culture, dress, facial ethnicity, machinery, furniture, weapons, wars, architecture, archeological discoveries, Roman culture and government, ancient religious beliefs, flora and fauna to conceptualize historically, archeologically and biblically-accurate art compositions used for over 200 art renderings and maps. She also researched and edited the CD-ROM content for over 700 files (equaling 16 trade-sized books) for Jesus: The Man, The Message, The Messiah, with Ray VanderLaan. She also authored a discussion guide for public school teachers for the drug and alcohol video entitled "Masquerade–Unveiling Our Deadly Dance With Drugs and Alcohol."
