Marcelle Sirkus was born in Brooklyn, NY, and moved to Los Angeles, California, as a child.
Growing up in L.A. in the 80's, Marcelle spent her teens amid Hollywood's Sunset Strip music scene, playing bass guitar in a rock band. Marcelle's first writing assignment was a weekly entertainment column in the Hollywood Gazette covering the local music scene, nightclubs, and reviewing bands.
Marcelle is the author of the laugh-out-loud book series "Shiksa Guide Books," "Quarantoons," Screenwriter and Executive Producer of the award-winning short film "Gastropod," and co-author of "FOOD NOT FOOD, A Visual Journey of Real Foods and Their Look-Alikes."
