Born and raised in Somerset, England, I moved to the Home Counties in 1972 and followed a career in personnel within the manufacturing industry. My skills progressed to specialising in personal development programmes for executives and highly qualified engineers. Relocating to Scotland in the mid 80’s I worked in the fast-expanding IT sector in ‘Silicon Glen,’ advising Chief Executives on recruitment processes and writing scores of manuals, guides and operational procedures. My understanding of people in the work place drew attention from international corporations, as they began start-up operations during that frenetic and hostile economic period. I subsequently returned to England and am now retired from full time work. I can now concentrate on travel writing, as well as visiting all the places I only dreamed about during the industrious years.
My passion for travel, allows me to fully indulge in my love of history, art, wines, and an eye for the obscure. My aim is to record these experiences for others to share.
My other interests range from animal welfare, motorcycle racing, music- from heavy metal to Mozart and fusion cooking.
