Books and other stories put us into an author's thoughts. The author teaches and we learn. The author entertains and we enjoy. More than that, an author's book is his cultural snapshot depicting what he thinks is important. Now placed into a book, the author's thoughts have been transformed into a timeless legacy, from which he hopes people develop answers to their worries. That's the deep importance I expect to find in books I read, and that's the spirit by which I write my books. If you read a book of mine, expect intellectual stimulation and emotional ups and downs to the purpose of experiencing, as deeply as a book can do, what I think people want to know. And expect to get so involved that you can't wait to turn the page.
