Jacques Gaudreault

Jacques is a new budding fiction writer and a working grandfather living in rural Nova Scotia, He has a global career spanning more than 40 years using undersea robotic systems in remote and exotic locations on offshore oil and gas platforms. Pioneering undersea technology inclusive to Deepwater Construction World Records (Black Sea & Gulf of Mexico) where he was also a team member, which capped off the Deepwater Horizon Disaster (2010). As an industry leader, Jacques was crewmember in James Cameron's critically acclaimed movie "The Abyss" (1989). Jacques and his wife of over 40 years met and married within a short three-week period. They have raised two sons, and now direct their attention to their granddaughter. Discovering his granddaughter's love for stories and constant requests to hear them, he began writing his own stories for her entertainment. He has produced a multi-book series “Rebecca & Ruby” about a young girl and her magical micro-dragon (Ruby).

Jacques is a member of the Evergreen Writers Group. He continues to work occasionally overseas on underwater projects and periodically shares his wide-ranging thoughts on his blog (forumofone.theblogpress.com).
