RJ Rise

RJ Rise is a rising children's book author. His books feature beautiful iconic artwork and amazing storyline that boost your child’s belief in themselves and help them think BIG. His stories help children realize that they are capable of great things even when faced with adversity.

After more than a decade teaching physical education to elementary school students, RJ opened up his own after-school fitness program for kids and parents. He strongly believes in the power of inspiring kids, particularly those who feel they have nothing going for them.

RJ Rise's books are made to empower kids and help them feel represented. RJ grew up in an era where he couldn’t relate to the superheroes that were out there. Batman was a billionaire and attended black tie formal affairs. Superman wasn’t from Earth but somehow looked like your typical 90’s era Tommy Hilfiger model. He-man had long blonde hair. And while he loved the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, it was difficult to relate to a turtle. So RJ created books to provide relatable characters for kids. "I wish I had books like these growing up! It would have been mind blowing, and jaw dropping if my mom had handed me a book or coloring book with characters that looked like me. To see heroes that look like me AND were here to save everyone from the bad guys would have made a deep impact on my life."
