Apostle Dr. Brian Keith Schaeffer was born on April 26, 1964, to George N. Schaeffer, Sr and Edna Mae Schaeffer in Memphis, Tennessee. At an early age, he began to be spoken to by The Lord about destiny and purpose. Though his surroundings offered despair, despondency, and death, through the guidance of the Lord and a strong mother who always encouraged him, he could succeed; diligence, devotion, and destiny have won.
Childhood illnesses threatened his life and caused some physical, emotional challenges, and contributed to learning disabilities that had to be overcome. Called into ministry at an early age he ministered his first sermon at age 11. At age 18 he followed his dream and served for 23 years in the US Army.
As life would have it he was sidetracked by the world system, but at age 34 The Lord drew him and under the ministry of Bishop Herman Crockett, Jr. he was ordained in October 2005. In 2011, Dr. Schaeffer and his wife established Interceding Christian Center (ICC) in West Memphis, Arkansas. The ministry was named from a previous radio broadcast that he hosted.
Dr. Schaeffer holds, a BS in Business Management from Virginia State University, a Masters in Business Administration from Touro University, completed studies for a Ph.D. in Industrial and Organizational Psychology at Touro University, and holds a ThD from International College of Ministry. Dr. Schaeffer is married to the former Ethel (Tina) Boston and together they have five children Michael, Kelvin, Kendrick, Ryan, and Viola.
