Jody E Skinner

Jody E. Skinner is a seasoned book proofreader and typesetter who works with authors of fiction and inspirational nonfiction. Since 2017, Jody has worked alongside authors, editing professionals, and small publishers, supporting writers in the process of holding their own book in their hands.

Jody is the author of Format Your Book with Vellum (now 3rd edition), which is a fear-free tech manual guiding both Mac and PC users through the Vellum book formatting software. She is also the founder of Smidgen Press, a publishing company dedicated to preserving beautiful classic literature for future generations. She is a military spouse with three teen and adult children, is the emotional support person to one dog, and has one cat who is the real boss of the house (just ask him).
