Barbara earned her private pilot’s license during college, joined the Air Force, married a pilot, co-built an experimental aircraft, lived in England for three years, and moved to Virginia with her family to work.

Barbara began her creative writings to tap into children's imagination doing the extraordinary of having a large number of outdoor critter friends. While the critters live outside, the critters know that they belong to a family! What fun to watch these critters play, make their own critter friends, and also protect the family. She also tries to expand children's knowledge of wild critters by adding description pages at the end of each chapter to compare and contrast the real critter versus the character critter in the storybook!

Barbara hopes children, parents, and grandparents follow her writings and that you feel the same as she does – that it is important to learn the difference between FACT from FICTION and most importantly, that reading is a fun way to learn because learning is a lifetime experience!

Most of all, Barbara hopes that you enjoy reading her written works so much that you challenge yourself to be more creative in life by writing or inventing something useful.
