J.H. Winter loves to create. She writes for children and teens. She draws and shares behind-the-scenes of her process going from idea to publication on YouTube @frizzybeebooks. She crochets amigurumi. She even hops behind the camera and teaches how to crochet on the her other YouTube channel @FrizzyBeeCrochet!

When she isn’t holding a pen or crochet hook, she hosts crochet-alongs and shares what she’s working on creatively, over on her website/blog at frizzybee . com.

She wrote the illustrated chapter book, "Tales of Whimsy: Wishweaver" (2nd Edition coming Fall 2025 by FRIZZY BEE BOOKS - will now include an extensive Map of Weyburn along with a delicious Crawler Biscuit recipe and QR Codes to additional fun tutorials coloring sheets & teaching resources), originally as a picture book, but it had much too much magic to contain in a mere 32 pages. So, Whimsy got her way—as she often does—and got to journey into a much bigger adventure! A series of adventures to be exact. Her wisp friend and co-adventurer, Flit, approved of this decision. The story continued with Book 2 "Tales of Whimsy: The Wayward Wind" (2nd Edition coming Fall 2025 by FRIZZY BEE BOOKS), and will finish with Book 3 "The Wicked Wanter" (1st Edition to be released by FRIZZY BEE BOOKS in Summer 2026).

As life would have it, J.H. Winter shares her writerly and creative life with her two precocious kids, her equally-imaginative husband, and their frisky felines, Merlin and Arthur.
