Tina Bone

After a “lifetime” of typing Theses and scientific papers (early days) and then as a self-employed desktop publisher, TINA BONE turned professional artist in March 2005. She is a self-taught, Wildlife and Botanical artist and illustrator. She has exhibited locally, nationally and internationally, and sold paintings worldwide. Her work has been published on jigsaws and cards. Twice a finalist in the BBC Wildlife Artist of the Year Competition, her paintings have also featured in magazines. Tina is co-author to the River Friend Series, and as well as writing, is providing all the illustrations.

Co-author, SYLVIA HASLAM, is an expert on wetlands and European rivers and has written much on river patterns and aquatic vegetation (Website: www.riversandreeds.co.uk). With numerous publications, and at varied levels from child to expert scientist, she is the instigator behind the series and has contributed much to the Haslam-Bone writing partnership.
