Alayne Smith

Alayne Smith is a retired broadcast journalism teacher who earned M.Ed. and E.Ds. degrees in Instructional Technology from the University of Georgia. She taught broadcast journalism for fifteen years in Gwinnett County, Georgia, and broadcast journalism informs her work.

Alayne’s first book, Ellen and the Three Predictions, was published in March 2017 by Cactus Moon Publishing in Tempe, Arizona. Her second book, Educating Sadie, was a finalist in the 2018 William Faulkner-William Wisdom Creative Writing Competition, as was her third book, This is Ellen Jones Reporting. The final book in the Ellen Jones series, A Mystery Solved, A Prediction Fulfilled, was a finalist in the 2023 Readers' Choice Book Awards.
