Tanya Mitchell was born in Boston, Massachusetts. She’s a May 1987 graduate of Vanderbilt University, and she received her Juris Doctor from Georgia State University College of Law. After passing the July 1991 Georgia bar exam, she worked for a solo practitioner for 3 years practicing in the areas of Entertainment Law and Family Law. Thereafter, she became one of the founding partners of her first law firm in December, 1994, and in February, 1999, she started her current law firm, The Law Office of TMG, PC, where she enjoys maintaining her private law practice in the areas of Family Law, Business Law, Entertainment Law, Contracts and Trademarks. Her first book, "Save Yourself (Before You Change Your Mind)” is a daily motivational that was birthed from her own personal experience as a divorcee, and through her work over the past 28 years representing divorcing women who are business professionals. Oftentimes, Ms. Mitchell found that some professional women have difficulty in exiting unhealthy personal relationships for a variety of reasons. On many occasions, she would find herself counseling these divorcing professional women, who were a public success, but living a private personal nightmare. This first book highlights the daily struggle in regaining self-love and self-respect.
