Kelly Olson taught elementary school for over two decades, fueled each day by her students’ humor, curiosity, and wide-eyed questions about growing up. After searching endlessly for books that explained puberty with honesty, clarity, and a sense of humor, she realized the resource she was looking for didn’t exist — so she wrote it.

Chill Out & Stop Making This Weird: A Girl’s Survival Guide Extraordinaire was created to help girls (and the adults who love them) navigate adolescence with confidence, connection, and a whole lot of laughs. Kelly’s goal is simple: give girls a safe place to learn, feel seen, and know they’re not the only one.
