Karla Ridpath

I was born and raised in a small town in central Iowa in the 1950's. I have always enjoyed creating stories of make-believe and imaginary characters and places.

When my kids were young, I wrote easy-to-read stories to help them learn to read. That is when I re-discovered my love of story telling. Several of those stories are the basis of books that I have or intend to publish.

"Megan and the Broken Snowflake Factory" is one of those stories that was written with my youngest daughter, Megan, as the main character. It was always my dream to have one of my stories published and now I have FOUR that are published and a FIFTH one in final edit and illustration. Who says dreams don't come true!!!

My newest book is "HAUNTINGS", a suspense filled story about an evening in a haunted house with three boys and all of the strange things that happen to them. This book is aimed at young teens, 11 years old and up.
