Lawrence Davis is a native of Winston-Salem, North Carolina.He is a graduate of Princeton University ( Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs-History, Economics, and Politics 1960), Duke Law School (1963), and George Washington University (M.B.A. 1966). He served two years in the U.S. Army Intelligence Corps, attaining the rank of captain. He then Joined the Womble law firm serving in Winston-Salem and Raleigh for than fifty years, during which time he served two terms in the N.C. House and the N.C. Senate. He was inducted into the Order of the Long Leaf Pine.
Lawrence grew up with stories of his ancestors' lives and is pleased to bring them to life in his first published novel. He lives in Raleigh, North Carolina, with his beloved wife, Sandra Holderness Davis. Their children, Alexandra Hipps, Bert Davis, Lucinda Davis, and Pam Davis, all live in North Carolina.
