J.E. Shipley

Hi, I am J.E. Shipley, author of the two books “Muffin the Rabbits Rockin’ New York City Adventure” and “Muffin the Rabbits’ family, England and the Golden Key of Honor”.

What is my objective? I simply love to help others enjoy life more!

Myself, along with my talented illustrator Joe Huffman, who helped bring both books to life with his beautiful, brilliant digital artwork, have created the new characters Muffin the Rabbit and his family. We feel that they are absolutely adorable! Our hope is that the rest of the world will fall in love with these adventurous little characters just as much as we have and for these books to bring pure laughter and enjoyment to all who read them! Each book is rhythmic in nature, which helps children to better understand how language works. They are “laughter -therapy” orientated. Studies have shown laughter can be an important therapeutic tool for everyone in today’s modern, fast paced society. It helps to ease stress, pressure, depression and to even help boost the immune system.

Each book contains a few fun travel facts and valuable positive attribute subject matters. The books display love and kindness which inspire children to have“empathy” towards others,“ Perseverance” in life, which encourages the concept of determination, as well as adaptability, team work and leadership. These attributes may help in almost every facet of life. As an individual I have always enjoyed music. Who doesn’t?! Music is healing, motivational and uplifting . I was blessed to attend college on a “Leadership Scholarship”, where I studied sociology, psychology and educational psychology. I also completed a certified travel degree. At the age of 21 I encountered a head and neck injury which threw me into the incurable condition of fibromyalgia. This has proven to be a notable hardship in my life.

In my professional career, I worked many years in higher-end retail/management/development. I love to motivate and inspire others, helping them to meet their true potential. I enjoyed reading with and assisting my own daughter through online kindergarten and first grade studies. As a parent I feel that sitting down with children and reading “traditional” books is invaluable. It helps to build a life long love of reading, as quoted by so many, in addition to creating unforgettable family memories.

Thank you for reading “Muffin the Rabbit” he is such a “cool” little dude!
