I am not an author, I do however have a story to tell. It's a true story, it's my story, and it's a horror story. It's a story every business owner needs to read. Enjoy the book, excuse the typos. I'm not an author.

How is it possible to have over half a million pounds in the bank, have numerous awards hanging on the wall, and a £1.4m property portfolio, yet lose that business on it's 20th Birthday?

That was 2013. I have spent the last 7 years HIDING from that. At the ripe old age of 54 I set about putting pen to paper (fingers to keyboard) and SHARE that story. WHY?

Very simple. The business failure rate in the UK is horrendous, and the mistakes I made were ALL avoidable. It's what I refer to as the "Perfect Storm". If I can share those mistakes and HELP any business owner, then I'll rest easy.

Today, from my home in the sleepy fishing village of Lossiemouth, in the North of Scotland, I view life differently. I have learned to be grateful for what I have, and I'm better for it.

As a Business Coach, I get to work with energetic and enthusiastic business owners and guide them towards success, their success. I share the amazing highs of my journey with them, and I guide them away from the hull crushing lows I experienced. It's a superb recipe for business success.

Business should be FUN and afford a lifestyle that reflects the hard work a business demands. Too often the dreams and aspirations are clouded and faded when the harsh reality of running a business takes over. It doesn't need to be that way.

When I'm not coaching clients you'll find me on the beach with Troy, my faithful German Shepherd. You may even find us on the beach in our 1966 VW Beach BUGGY. I'm also a licensed Radio Amateur, so you'll often hear me on the 20m and 40m bands most weekends.

Our location here extends itself to outdoor life. The days of Aston Martins and Superbikes are replaced by beach walks and fine wine.

Today, I am WAY more wealthier than I have ever been. Not financially wealthier. I learned late in life that wealth can be measured in your heart as well as your wallet.
