Thomas Sanders' first book THE LAST GOOD WAR: THE FACES AND VOICES OF WWII was published with Welcome Books/Random House at the age of 25 and his book was named “Non-Fiction Book of the Year, Editors Choice” by the Forewords Review Magazine and is the youngest author to ever achieve this award. THE LAST GOOD WAR: THE FACES AND VOICES OF WWII is a collection of Sanders modern WWII photography portraits and their stories.

Sanders second book VIETNAM WAR PORTRAITS: THE FACES AND THE VOICES is published with the Casemate Group. VIETNAM WAR PORTRAITS: THE FACES AND THE VOICES Features modern portraits and firsthand accounts, this book offers a unique perspective on the Vietnam War, bringing together the stories of American Vietnam war veterans, southern Vietnamese war veterans and civilians.

Thomas Sanders lives in Savannah, GA as a professor of photography at the Savannah College of Art and Design. Sanders has spoken at the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery, Houston Museum of Fine Arts, the National WWII Museum in New Orleans, and many other locations.
